Since 1901, we've built wire loom, sleeving, cordage, and tape solutions for manufacturers who cannot afford failure in the field. What started as insulation for residential wiring grew into a full line of textile-based protection products trusted across a wide range of markets.

Below is an overview of the industries we serve and the applications our products are built to handle.

Automotive & Transportation

We've served the automotive industry since the early 1900s, when the Saylor brothers began developing wiring insulation for early vehicle manufacturers. Today, our Wire & Hose Protection and Automotive product lines, including automotive wire loom and aluminum foil tape, are trusted by OEMs including Ford Motor Company, Chrysler Corporation, and General Motors, along with transportation manufacturers like Bluebird Coach Company.

Our Sayflex sleeving and loom protect wire harnesses, battery cables, fuel and vacuum lines, and EGR tubes against abrasion, heat, and crush damage on the production line and in the field.

Military & Defense

We manufacture a full line of Mil Spec Tapes built to meet military standards, including A-A-59770-A, MIL-I-19166-C, MIL-P-46112B, and MIL-T-23397B specifications. Our silicone, PTFE, polyimide film tape, and fiberglass options, including self fusing silicone tape, are used for electrical insulation and protection in demanding defense applications, and we count the U.S. Army among the customers who rely on our products.

Aerospace

Aerospace wiring and harnessing depend on materials that hold up under extreme heat, vibration, and pressure changes. Our Mil Spec Tapes, including polyimide film tape and PTFE film tape with silicone adhesive, are engineered for exactly that kind of demanding environment, giving aerospace manufacturers a reliable option for wire protection and insulation.

Industrial & Electrical Manufacturing

For general industrial and electrical manufacturing, our Industrial Electrical Tapes and Wire & Cable Textiles provide insulation, bundling, and reinforcement for wiring and cable assemblies. We offer everything from woven cotton tape, woven fiberglass tape, and glass cloth tape to fiberglass tie cord and Saylor Surge Rope. Our Wire & Cable Textiles line also includes nylon yarn overbraiding and twisted paper binders for cable core construction.

Heavy Equipment & Off Highway

Heavy equipment manufacturers use our wire and hose protection products, including expandable sleeving and electrical wire sleeves, to guard wiring and hose runs against the abrasion, crush forces, and extreme conditions common on off highway machinery. Our Classic, Advantage, and Sayflex sleeving lines are built to hold up in the same rugged environments the equipment itself is designed for.

Marine & Recreational Vehicle

Our sleeving, loom, and cordage products, including braided wire loom and protective wire coverings, have found acceptance in marine and recreational vehicle applications, where wiring is exposed to moisture, vibration, and temperature swings. Our fire resistant and crush resistant sleeving options give marine and RV manufacturers a dependable way to protect wire runs in tight, exposed spaces.

Telecommunications

Our Waxed Telecom Cords are twisted from polyester or nylon and treated to resist fraying and improve knot retention, making them well suited for cable assemblies and telecommunications applications where consistent, dependable cordage matters.

Furniture, Upholstery & Specialty Manufacturing

Beyond wire and cable, we supply specialty textile products for furniture and upholstery manufacturers, including high tenacity Upholstery Twine built for knot retention and reduced fraying. Our Casting Tube products, such as Molduct, also support mold and production work in porcelain, clay, and ceramic manufacturing, and we've even supplied the fine arts sector with products suited to their unique needs.
